Agbonlahor: Man United backed to accept £50m Marcus Rashford offer after confirmed news

Man United could sell Marcus Rashford for £50million in the summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Rashford will want to move abroad and test himself away from Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer although Man United are expected to trigger a 12-month extension on his deal.

Rahsford took to Twitter on Monday (19 December) to accuse the Daily Star of “making up” a story suggesting Man United are prepared to offer him a new contract worth £400,000-a-week.

“It’s difficult with Marcus Rashford,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“He might look at it and think ‘You know what, I might want to try the Bundesliga or I might want to try a team in Spain. I want to try something different’.

“I can really see him doing that. I don’t think he’s the sort of player who thinks he has to stay at Man United.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if Man United have got a decision to make this summer. They might think ‘He’s not going to sign a new contract, can we try and get £50million for him with a year left on his contract’.

“I just think Rashford is the sort of player who, at this stage of his career, should try something else and make a name for himself at a different club.

“Paris Saint-Germain might be an option. Mbappe is not going to be there much longer, I’m sure he’ll move on soon.”

In other news, Man United have opened direct talks to sign a player and £45million will seal a January deal.
