Agbonlahor predicts Tottenham could finish in bottom half of Premier League after source's latest news

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Tottenham could finish in the bottom half of the Premier League this season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward suggested the uncertainty over Harry Kane’s future could overshadow the club.

Football Insider revealed today (3 August) Kane has told his England teammate Jack Grealish he will do “whatever it takes” to engineer a move to away this summer.

The 28-year-old has not turned up to Spurs training for the first two days he was due back.

This site first broke the news on 9 April Kane had told friends he wanted to quit his boyhood club this summer.

“I think it’s going to be a worrying season for Spurs,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“The Harry Kane saga and the whole squad means they’re going to be in trouble this season.

“They’ve got no chance of finishing seventh this season. I think Spurs are going to finish 10th or 11th this season. They’ve got a new manager coming in and it’s going to be a gradual process of him finding the perfect team to play.

“They’ve got good individual players but they need to get Dele Alli firing, is that going to happen? If Harry Kane stays is he going to be the same player? If he goes, who is going to score the goals?

“I think it’s going to be a tough season for Spurs.”

Spurs’ seventh-place finish last season was their lowest in the Premier League since the 2008-09 campaign.

They begin their season with a home game against champions Man City on 15 August.

In other news, Tottenham have been tipped to seal two “big” signings next week after a Nuno reveal.
