Harry Kane has confided in Jack Grealish he will do "whatever it takes" to secure a Tottenham transfer this summer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The two wantaway talismans become close during the summer's Euros while on duty for England in a memorable campaign that ended in final defeat.

A source with knowledge of Kane's situation has told Football Insider that he has told Grealish his desire to leave by next month's transfer cut-off is absolute and nothing will stop him from doing so.

That was demonstrated on Monday as the England skipper failed to show up for pre-season training following his scheduled return from holiday.

Kane feels he has to pull out all the stops to engineer a move from Spurs with his favoured destination said to be Man City.

There is also strong interest in the prolific striker from Man United and Chelsea.

Kane is valued at upwards of £120million by Tottenham, who are keen to keep him despite the striker believing he has a gentleman's agreement with chairman Daniel Levy.

City have already bid £100m for Kane while discussions have also taken place over a potential cash-plus-players bid with Man United.

This site first broke the news on 9th April how the England captain had told friends he wants to quit Spurs this summer and updated three weeks later to reveal he was "hell bent" on leaving.

Kane's deep desire to leave the club where he has spent his whole career has been cemented by a summer away with the national team.

The England captain faces a tougher battle to quit Tottenham than Grealish does in leaving Aston Villa.
