Agbonlahor rejects £100m Nottingham Forest myth amid Morgan Gibbs-White claim
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Nottingham Forest will not be “doing a Fulham” this season despite their near-£100million transfer outlay.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, backed manager Steve Cooper to lead the Premier League new boys to safety.
According to the Daily Mirror (27 July), Nottingham Forest are looking to bring their summer spend to over £100million with a double deal for Orel Mangala, 24, and Morgan Gibbs-White, 22.

Fans and pundits alike have been drawing parallels between Cooper’s side and Fulham – who suffered relegation in the 2018-19 season after spending almost £105million on new talent.
Agbonlahor backed Gibbs-White to “shine” at the City Ground after struggling to break through at Wolves.
He also claimed former Swansea boss Cooper is a “good judge of players”.
“There’s something about Steve Cooper that I trust,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“If it was most other managers then yes, you could say that they could be doing a Fulham. But they lost so many players at the end of last season.
“I feel like Cooper is a good judge of players. They’re not paying silly money for anyone; they’re getting the numbers they need.
“Gibbs-White is a top talent. With the right manager behind him, and the trust in him – he will shine. I don’t think the last couple of Wolves managers have trusted him.
“I hope he gets that move and shines this season.”

Nottingham Forest lost five players on free transfers at the end of last term – while Brice Samba has departed for Lens.
The play-off winners have added Jesse Lingard, Taiwo Awoniyi, Neco Williams, and Lewis O’Brien – among others.
