Agbonlahor shares four-word verdict on Wolves signing Moore after update

Kieffer Moore is not the answer to Wolves’ goalscoring woes, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted Wolves should keep faith in Raul Jimenez after his return from injury.

Football Insider broke the news on 23 August that the Midlands outfit are lining up a £7million move for Moore.

Wolves

Cardiff are open to selling the Wales international who they bought for just £2million from Wigan Athletic last summer.

Wolves are in the market for a centre-forward after failing to score in their opening two Premier League games.

Bruno Lage’s side have had 42 attempts on goal in the league but are still yet to find the net.

Moore scored 20 times in 42 Championship games last term and his form saw him included in Wales’ European Championship squad.

The 29-year-old scored once as he featured in all four games as Wales reached the Round of 16.

He has already scored once in four Championship games this term, including one start.

Asked whether Moore could be the answer to Wolves’ struggles in front of goal, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Not for me, no.

He added: “They’ve got Jimenez there, they’ve got their number one striker. They’ve got Fabio Silva there who can be OK at times.

“So no, I don’t think he’s the answer for Wolves.”

Jimenez has started Wolves’ opening two games of the season – his first competitive appearances since fracturing his skull last November.

Silva made his first start of the season in the Carabao Cup against Nottingham Forest and provided two assists in their 4-0 win.

In other news, Wolves have been tipped to sell an “outstanding” player to a Premier League rival for “£40million”.
