Agbonlahor shares three-word verdict on Tottenham completing ‘£104m’ Rudiger deal after source update
There is “not a chance” Tottenham will sign Antonio Rudiger if he wants wages of £400,000-a-week across a five-year deal, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker admitted Rudiger is a “good defender” but not one Spurs should break their wage structure for.
A club source told Football Insider on Monday (20 November) they are set to step up their bid to lure the centre-back from London rivals Chelsea.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and Fabio Paratici is willing to pay “huge” wages to lure him to north London.
He is a key player of Thomas Tuchel’s side and has started all but one of the Blues’ Premier League games this season.
Asked for his verdict on a potential move to Spurs, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Not a chance.”
He added: “I don’t see that happening. Rudiger is going to have more options than just Spurs. Chelsea will definitely say to Rudiger they will match what Spurs are paying.
“I can’t see Spurs paying £400,000-a-week for a defender, to be honest. I just can’t see it.
“Harry Kane now is probably their highest earner. I can’t see Rudiger earning £100,000-a-week, £150,000-a-week more than Harry Kane.
“He’s a good defender, Rudiger, but for £400,000-a-week, which is what he wants, I don’t see it happening.”

A £400,000-a-week, five-year contract would cost Tottenham a whopping £104million in total.
Rudiger has played 172 times across all competitions for Chelsea, including last season’s Champions League final as the club lifted the trophy for the second time in their history.
