Agbonlahor slams Trincao and Traore after Wolves reveal

Gabby Agbonlahor has called on Francisco Trincao and Adama Traore to ease the burden on Raul Jimenez at Wolves.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Wolves cannot rely on Jimenez after his “traumatic injury”.

The Midlands outfit are yet to score in the Premier League this season despite having 42 attempts at goal in their first two games.

Trincao and Traore have started both games either side of Jimenez in a 5-2-3 system.

As quoted by Birmingham Live after his side’s 1-0 loss to Spurs this weekend, Bruno Lage insisted he had faith the goals would begin to flow.

Trincao moved to Molineux from Barcelona on a season-long loan this summer and Wolves have an option to make the deal permanent for a reported £25million fee.

“You look at Raul Jimenez, he’s going to be rusty after being out for so long with a traumatic injury,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“But you look at some of the other players have to step up. Wolves cannot be waiting for Jimenez to get all the goals. Someone else has to step up.

“Traore never scores, I’ve never seen a winger who doesn’t score like him. Trincao, they brought him in and there’s been a lot of talk about him, he’s got to start scoring.

“Can a defender or a midfielder get a goal?”
