Agbonlahor stunned as Rangers set Morelos price tag

Rangers are massively undervaluing Alfredo Morelos at £13million, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed the Colombian is worth nearer £30million to the Gers.

Football Insider revealed on 26 June that Rangers have told Porto it will take a bid of around £13million to prise their star striker away from Ibrox.

The Portuegese club have made contact over a potential deal.

Morelos has just two years left to run on his Rangers contract and talks over an extension have not got off the ground.

This site revealed last October the 25-year-old wanted a pay rise after failing to secure a move last summer.

“I think that’s really cheap,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“I thought it would be nearer £30million than £13million.

“He’s a very talented player, if I was selling him as Rangers I’d want at least £30million.

“But maybe with two years left on his contract that puts his value down.

“If I was Rangers I would not want to be selling him, I’d want to keep hold of him but you don’t know what the player wants to do.

“He might want to stay for another season and get his move after that. I don’t think he’ll leave now, I’ll think he’ll stay for another year.”

Morelos has spent four years at Ibrox and became the club’s record goalscorer in European competitions last season.

He is now set to play in the Champions League for the first time in his career next term with Rangers two rounds away from the group stages.

In other news, a second Rangers starlet could quit for a Premier League club this week after one deal is done.
