Agbonlahor suggests Man United about to axe Raphael Varane amid ‘panic’ claim
Harry Maguire will be back in the Man United team “soon” due to Raphael Varane’s injury record.
That’s according to former Aston Villa hitman Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Maguire’s future.
The 28-year-old defender has now not played in Man United’s last three Premier League games after failing to impress Erik ten Hag while starting the first two games of the campaign.

The Red Devils have won all three games Maguire did not start after losing the first two games of the campaign to Brighton and Brentford.
Varane, 29, missed 13 league games through injury and illness during the 2021-22 season and Agbonlahor claims it is only a matter of time before Maguire replaces him in the starting XI.
“I look at Varane and I feel he doesn’t play a lot of games in a row,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“He normally has injury problems and I feel that Maguire will be back in soon. There might be games where man United go five at the back and play with those three centre-backs.
“I don’t think there is any time for panic yet, it is still early doors in the season. I wouldn’t panic if I was him.”

Maguire has made 146 appearances for Man United and remains the club captain despite being dropped from the starting XI.
The Red Devils are next in action against league-leaders Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday (4 September).
