Agbonlahor tips Aston Villa to complete cut-price Yves Bissouma deal after reveal in last 24 hours
Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Aston Villa to strike a cut-price deal for Yves Bissouma in the summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer insisted a defensive midfielder is the only missing piece of the jigsaw for Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Express & Star reported earlier today (2 February) the club are set to renew their interest in Bissouma in the summer window.

Brighton & Hove Albion valued the midfielder at £50million in January but by the summer he will only have one year left on his contract.
“The Bissouma deal is one I imagined they really wanted but they won’t pay over the odds for someone who hasn’t got long left on his contract,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Villa probably think they can cope without Bissouma until the summer. Then you can get him in the summer for a lesser amount.
“100 per cent a defensive midfielder is going to be the summer priority.
“Steven Gerrard will be happy with his other midfielders of Sanson, Ramsey and McGinn. He’ll be happy with the other two spaces in the midfield.
“With the forward players, he’ll be more than happy. A defensive midfielder is the biggest part missing of the jigsaw and I can see that being Bissouma.”

Aston Villa signed Lucas Digne, Philippe Coutinho and Callum Chambers on permanent deals in January while goalkeeper Robin Olsen arrived on loan.
Bissouma has 100 Premier League games to his name for Brighton after moving to the club in the summer of 2018.
