Agbonlahor: Unai Emery may be ready to bin Tyrone Mings and Aston Villa teammate after behind-the-scenes reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Unai Emery may decide to bin Tyrone Mings and Danny Ings from Aston Villa at the end of the season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer insisted he would keep the pair because they are “top players”.
Both Ings and Mings are out of contract at the end of next season.

Birmingham Live reported earlier this week (21 November) that negotiations over new deals for the duo are ongoing in the background.
Both players have featured in all three games under Emery and Ings scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in Aston Villa’s final game before the World Cup break (13 November).
Asked whether they deserved new contracts, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Conor Whitley: “It all depends on whether the manager wants to give them new contracts.
“You have to look at their ages and does the manager want to give those contracts to his targets? It’s all down to the manager.
“I would keep both of them. I would keep Ings and Mings because I feel like they are top players.
“It will all come down to the manager and what he prefers. Will he want to wait until the summer when he’s got a longer transfer window? It will be interesting to see.”

Mings moved to Aston Villa, initially on loan, from Bournemouth in January 2019 and was club captain for the 2021-22 season.
Ings joined from Southampton for £30million last summer (2021) and has scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 47 games across all competitions for the club.
