Agbonlahor verdict on Noble accepting new West Ham role after confirmed news
Mark Noble will not join David Moyes’ West Ham coaching staff and fill the vacancy left by Stuart Pearce, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Noble will take a “nice break away from football” after retiring as a player.
The 35-year-old played the last of his 550 games for West Ham in the 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday (22 May).
He is hanging up his boots after 18 years with his boyhood club, including almost seven as club captain.
The Hammers also confirmed on Monday (23 May) that Pearce will leave the coaching staff after a second spell working with Moyes at the London Stadium.
The 60-year-old admitted he made his decision with a “heavy heart” but he wanted to pursue other opportunities and challenges.
Asked whether that could open the door for Noble to transition into coaching, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “No, I don’t think so.
“Maybe Stuart Pearce wants to do more media work or there are family reasons. There’s got to be a reason behind it.
“I see Noble taking a nice break away from football all together to be honest.”

Noble announced on Saturday (21 May) that he is writing his memoirs after ending his playing career.
As well as 550 games for West Ham, he also had loan spells with Hull City and Ipswich Town in 2006 making 18 appearances across his time with both clubs.
In other news, a West Ham star is to quit after big development and he could join a London rival.
