Alan Shearer destroys Arsenal on Twitter

Alan Shearer blasted Arsenal on Twitter after their 3-1 defeat against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Gunners slipped to a comprehensive defeat against their London rivals, which means Chelsea are temporarily 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Marcos Alonso opened the scoring in the first-half with a header, while man-of-the-match Eden Hazard scored a sensational individual goal after the break to put the hosts in the driving seat.

Former player Cesc Fabregas then capitalised on a uncharacteristic Petr Cech error to put Chelsea three goals up and substitute Olivier Giroud managed a late consolation.

Shearer destroyed Arsenal after the game and believes it was the same old sorry story for them.

“Chelsea bullied Arsenal. Chelsea bossed Arsenal. Kante MOM. Arsenal, well they were same old Arsenal,” Shearer wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Arsenal once again struggled to adapt to the big games and their title bid was dealt a shattering blow at Stamford Bridge, something they are very unlikely to recover from.

The north London club will have to prioritise a spot in the top four, but face stiff competition from rivals Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City and United.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea strengthened their grip on top spot of the table and were ruthless on Saturday.

The Gunners have not lifted the Premier League title in the past 12 seasons and showed a lack of champions spirt in their loss.
