Alejandro Garnacho reacts to Marcus Rashford’s message after Man United agree deal

Marcus Rashford gave fans an update on his current activities after a deal was agreed regarding his Man United future.

Rashford now looks set to leave Man United for a second time, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.

As reported by Football Insider, Ruben Amorim is keen for Rashford to secure an exit as soon as possible, with pre-season preparations already underway.

The forward was granted extended time off to finalise a move rather than return to training with the rest of the squad, and it now appears a deal has been agreed for another temporary departure.

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Man United and Barcelona have reached an agreement for Rashford to join the Spanish club on loan, with an option to buy included in the deal for around £25.9million.

Following the update, the England international shared a post showing his current routine as he appears to be preparing for life in Spain.

Man United stars react as Marcus Rashford jets off to Barcelona

Rashford posted on Instagram with himself on a private jet, which has later been confirmed to have landed in Barcelona [ESPN].

The Man United academy graduate simply captioned the post “DOWNTIME” alongside a salute emoji.

Plenty of his current teammates responded, with Bruno Fernandes, Leny Yoro and Alejandro Garnacho among those who liked the post. Other Premier League stars also showed their support, including Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Amadou Onana, and former United teammate Paul Pogba.

With a potential move stalling earlier in the window, Football Insider reported that Manchester United were open to accepting a cut-price fee for Rashford. However, Barcelona’s willingness to cover his full wages as part of the loan deal is believed to have swayed the club in favour of a temporary move.

After falling out with Amorim in December, Rashford’s loan switch to Aston Villa turned heads, where he went on to contribute to nine goals and assists, leading to his move in Spain.

Man United ready to accept offer for Alejandro Garnacho

Although Garnacho showed support for Rashford amid his loan departure, he could be the next big name out the door at Old Trafford.

Garnacho is one of five players exiled from first-team training by Amorim this summer, following a major bust-up after last season’s Europa League final in which he was left on the bench.

Aston Villa and Chelsea have both shown interest in Garnacho, but no substantial offers have been tabled yet, which could create an awkward situation should he return to training without a move being finalised.
