Alejandro Garnacho sends one-word Man United message after Ruben Amorim bust-up
Alejandro Garnacho took to social media with a single-word message following news of his falling out with Man United manager Ruben Amorim.
The 20-year-old winger had been a vital part of United’s squad for much of the 2024/25 campaign despite initially being dropped by the Portuguese, notching 11 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, that was until the Europa League final.
Despite recording five goal contributions in Europe, he was left out of the starting lineup to face Tottenham, prompting post-match comments from himself and his brother about the unfair treatment.

Following the very public quotes, Amorim lashed out at Garnacho during a squad meeting, telling the player he “better pray” he can find another club before pre-season starts, as per the Daily Mail.
He was surprisingly still taken on United’s controversial tour of Asia, with only Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof successfully refusing to go due to personal commitments ahead of the imminent expiry of their contracts, and Garnacho courted further controversy there over his middle finger gestures.

The Argentine’s time appears to be all but finished with the Red Devils, and if his latest social media post is anything to go by, he is happy to be away from Old Trafford for a much-needed relaxation.
Taking to Instagram stories (31 May), Garnacho posted a photo from a plane window, captioned: “Finally,” with crying, prayer, and island emojis, clearly taking off for a holiday.

Ruben Amorim ready to rebuild Man United squad this summer
Football Insider verdict
Amorim has clearly been deeply displeased with his team’s performances this season, which have seen the Red Devils finish the Premier League season in 15th place.
Garnacho’s character is likely to continue clashing with the manager unless he can find a new exit, and a number of other players need to find new homes ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Andre Onana, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, and Rasmus Hojlund are all seen as deadweight at Man United, and multiple others do not fit Amorim’s style of football that he deployed at Sporting CP.

Football Insider understands that Viktor Gyokeres is now “happy” to join Arsenal instead of the Red Devils, which will be a huge blow to the manager, who is already under pressure at Old Trafford.
Scoring goals was certainly a problem for United, with only four other teams in the Premier League netting fewer times, and the Asian tour has only caused more issues for Amorim.
Despite the falling out, Garnacho still made appearances on the post-season tour, but that could now be his final game in Man United colours ahead of the summer transfer window opening.
