Alejandro Garnacho trolls £40m Man United teammate as he responds to message

Man United youngster Alejandro Garnacho has taken to social media to poke fun at teammate Manuel Ugarte.

The 20-year-old played 86 minutes in United’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich on Sunday (November 24) before being replaced by Mason Mount but failed to have any meaningful impact on the game.

It remains unclear what kind of role Garnacho will have under new manager Ruben Amorim, with the coach preferring to play two number 10s over more traditional wingers.

Garnacho impressed under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, providing three goal contributions in his four games at the club, including a screamer against Leicester in his last game.

Football Insider revealed (November 28) that the Dutchman is set to succeed Steve Cooper at the King Power Stadium after reaching a full agreement with Leicester.

Morale at Man United is high after Alejandro Garnacho’s Manuel Ugarte jab

The Man United players appear to be all smiles since Amorim took over, enjoying training more than they were under Erik ten Hag.

Garnacho’s Argentina teammate Lisandro Martinez has made his return, prompting the youngster to comment on Martinez’s latest Instagram post to joke about £42.5m summer arrival Ugarte and his mate—a traditional South American tea made from the Yerba Mate plant.

Amorim is set to take charge of his first game at Old Trafford as Man United manager on Thursday as they take on Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt on Thursday (November 18).

Attention will then return to the Premier League as United face Sean Dyche’s struggling Everton side on Sunday (December 1).
