Alex Lowry will ‘ask’ for ‘exciting’ Newcastle United transfer after Rangers latest – pundit
Alex Lowry will struggle to turn down a move to Newcastle United if they make a move this summer.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the youngster’s future.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Monday (18 April) that Newcastle have held talks over signing Rangers starlet Lowry this summer.

This site revealed earlier this month (11 April) that the Glasgow giants have offered the attacking midfielder, 18, a new contract worth £5,000-a-week after seeing their opening offer rejected.
It is understood that Newcastle are at the front of the queue of Premier League clubs keen to lure Lowry south of the border.
Kenny claims Lowry will struggle to turn down a move to Newcastle.
“It’s very exciting if Newcastle come in for you, that’s the first thing,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“No disrespect to Rangers but if a Premier League club comes sniffing, it is a really hard one to turn down.
“Especially if he’s struggling for game time up there, he could ask to go to Newcastle if that keeps happeneing. For me, it shows Newcastle’s ambitions.
“They aren’t just going out and signing players at the end of their careers, they want top young talent.
“They want the best in class of these young players. There have been other links to left-backs so this doesn’t surprise me.
“Newcastle want to boost their ranks with top young players, this guy fits the bill.”

Lowry who can play up and down the left-hand side has made four first-team appearances for the Gers and scored on his debut against Sterling Albion on 21 January.
The Toon signed Matt Targett on loan in January after Matt Ritchie and Jamal Lewis failed to impress.
