Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could quit Liverpool this summer after what pundit spotted
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may leave Liverpool this summer in search of regular game time.
That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 28-year-old display at Nottingham Forest.
Oxlade-Chamberlain cast a frustrated figure when replaced by Luis Diaz at the City Ground.
The centre-midfielder has found minutes hard to come by this year, with the younger Curtis Jones surpassing him in the pecking order at Anfield.
In the summer, Oxlade-Chamberlain will have just 12 months left on his contract.
When asked for his assessment of the ex-Arsenal man’s future, Campbell told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “Look, he is frustrated because he wants more game time.
“But there is only so much game time available when you have that much quality in your squad.
“It was great that Jurgen Klopp could shuffle his pack for the Forest game but it is difficult to get rhythm when you have not been playing. It was a tough game and there wasn’t much in it. The key was they got through.
“The Ox won’t be happy though because he wants to play every week. The way things are going he is not going to get much game time.
“It is something he needs to consider at the end of the season.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain has 29 appearances across all competitions this season.
He has played just 62 minutes of Premier League and Champions League football since January.
