‘Alexander Isak to sign Newcastle deal and wear no.9’ – Fans buzz at star admission
Newcastle United fans are confident of Alexander Isak extending his future at St James’ Park following the striker’s recent comments on international duty.
Isak, who has been strongly linked with a Liverpool transfer this summer, helped defeat Arne Slot’s Reds in the Carabao Cup final to lift the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years.
With 23 goals and five assists in all competitions, in addition to his 27 goal contributions from last term, it is no surprise to see the top teams vying for the Sweden international’s signature.
It is also no surprise to see a tremendous amount of speculation swirling around the striker’s future at St James’ Park, but with his current deal running until the summer of 2028, fans are not concerned.

Alexander Isak to remain at Newcastle United despite speculation
Having lifted the Carabao Cup at Wembley Stadium, Newcastle have been tipped to tie Isak down to a new deal, one which would see him remain with the Magpies for the foreseeable future.
Isak remaining at St James’ Park alongside Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton will be crucial for the club if they are to achieve more after winning the EFL Cup.
Eddie Howe looks to be building something special at Newcastle, but if the Magpies are to lose their star striker this summer, it would be an incredibly difficult setback for the team to deal with.

Newcastle striker continues to be questioned over future at St James’ Park
With multiple teams keeping a close eye on the Swede, media outlets continue to quiz the striker over whether he will stay with the Magpies or move to a rival Premier League club.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he reiterated just how much he loves the city and the club, having arrived during the summer of 2022, also touching on the team’s ambition to secure Champions League football.
Of course, this has sparked debate on social media amongst Liverpool and Arsenal fans, but Newcastle fans remain strong on the idea that Isak is “going nowhere” this summer.
One fan has backed the striker to “build a legacy” at St James’ Park while another has tipped him to put pen to paper on a brand-new deal during the summer before taking over the number nine shirt worn by the likes of Alan Shearer.
