Alfredo Morelos ‘doesn’t care’ about Rangers after new twist – pundit

Frank McAvennie has claimed Alfredo Morelos “doesn’t care” about Rangers anymore.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker said the Glasgow club have “bent over backwards” for Morelos during his time at Ibrox.

According to the Daily Record (11 January), Mexican side Tigres have made a final bid for Eintracht Frankfurt star Rafael Santos Borre and if rejected they’ll turn to the 26-year-old as a January option.

The striker is believed to be on Tigres’ striker shortlist should they fail in their attempts to land Borre.

Morelos is out of contract at the end of the season and could leave for free if the Gers fail to cash in now.

The Colombia international has fallen behind summer signing Antonio Colak in the pecking order at Ibrox and has regularly been on the bench.

McAvennie urged Morelos to leave this month for a fee.

If I was Morelos I would aim to do well and get sold in January so that the club is getting a bit of money back for you,” he told Football Insider.

People do not care about clubs now. It is not even as if he has fallen out with them. They have done nothing but bend over backwards for him.

Even the fans gave him so much. They still like him but he is not the talisman that he was last year or the year before.

It is a shame because he was a talent but he has let it go.
