Alisson could quit Liverpool as ‘jaw-dropping’ offer incoming – expert
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has insisted Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker could still make a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes a switch to the Middle Eastern country isn’t something that can be ruled out for the Brazil international.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 15 July Liverpool are bracing themselves for a Saudi club to offer Alisson a “jaw-dropping” deal to join them this summer.
There is believed to be growing interest in the 31-year-old and there have been whispers behind the scenes at Anfield about a potential offer incoming for his services.
Alisson has been the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper for the Merseyside giants since joining the club for £67million in 2018.
The shot-stopper is believed to be earning around £200,000 a week, with his deal set to expire in 2027.
Alisson could make Saudi move as Liverpool chiefs braced for offer
Wyness suggested Michael Edwards and Arne Slot will have talked through every possible scenario as they prepare themselves for an offer to be tabled for Alisson.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Alisson has been linked with Saudi.
“I still wouldn’t dismiss that as being a move that could happen.
“There are a number of areas for Liverpool to strengthen.

“But I think between Michael Edwards and Arne Slot, they will have talked through every possible position and permutation.
“I feel comfortable they can make the right decisions given time.”
