All games Mohammed Kudus could miss as Tottenham hit with another crushing injury blow

Thomas Frank is without yet another of his biggest stars after Tottenham learned of Mohammed Kudus’ latest blow.

The Ghanaian was nowhere to be seen as Tottenham lost 3-2 to Bournemouth on Wednesday, 7 January, having managed just 19 minutes against Sunderland before being replaced by Randal Kolo Muani.

Defeat leaves Spurs 14th in the Premier League table, just four spots above the relegation zone, not much better than what Ange Postecoglou managed in his final season in North London.

Pressure is beginning to build at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and with Frank already without the likes of Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski, the manager cannot take any more blows.

Tottenham fans were surprised by Brennan Johnson’s sudden exit to Crystal Palace, and the transfer makes even less sense now after the seriousness of Kudus’ injury was confirmed.

Mohammed Kudus to be sidelined with injury until April

Frank has confirmed that Kudus’ injury is a “bigger one,” with the Lilywhites now expecting him to return after the international break in March, ruling him out for a number of key games.

The 25-year-old had only missed one game for Spurs since his arrival from West Ham, at least before being left out of the squad to face the Cherries, but the worst possible outcome has become reality.

He has three goals and five assists in 26 total appearances, quickly becoming one of Frank’s most important players, but reports would suggest a reluctance to dive into the January transfer window.

The season continues, however, and with Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League games all to prepare for, Frank will need to find a way of playing without the Ghanaian in the final third.

If the injury timeline is accurate, he could return against Sunderland on Saturday, 11 April, the same team he was injured against, which would be a huge moment for the attacker.
