‘Andre Onana cannot stay at Man United’ – Fans explode after Tottenham loss
Andre Onana was hammered by his own supporters after Man United conceded the opener against Tottenham in the Europa League final.
The 29-year-old already looked nervous between the sticks, with his lack of communication with Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw leading to some unneeded corners to Spurs on Wednesday, 21 May.
Despite multiple chances for both teams, the game looked set to go into the half-time break without a goal being scored, only for Ange Postecoglou‘s side to score the game’s only goal before the whistle.
Ruben Amorim is under pressure from Man United fans, and after an incredibly dire opening half at the San Mames Stadium, those frustrations will have only grown on the manager’s shoulders.
Andre Onana could be sold by Man United this summer
Supporters at Old Trafford have been incredibly critical of the goalkeeper this season, having made several errors leading to goals, with fans ready to part ways with him in the summer.
While it would be unfair to include this goal in his stat of errors, it was a poor attempt at trying to keep the ball out of his net, and it looked as though Shaw also played a role in the goal.
Ex-Man United scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Man United plan to accept £50million deal bids for Onana amid interest from the Saudi Pro League, and fans will be excited about that prospect.
In fact, Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez has emerged as a replacement for Onana this summer, and the World Cup winner would be an immediate upgrade to the Cameroonian.

Man United goalkeeper ripped apart after Tottenham opener
After failing to get anywhere near the ball as Spurs’ opener dribbled into the bottom corner, one fan begged for the club to “leave him in Bilbao”, with another even writing a poem, and one simply said the keeper “cannot stay”.
Multiple fans took to social media to claim that the former Inter Milan man needs to be sold this summer, and many others will likely agree after his incredibly poor effort at saving Brennan Johnson‘s effort.
