By Harvey Byrne
Andrea Radrizzani hailed Leeds’ “great result” against Blackburn on Twitter on Wednesday evening.
The Yorkshire giants ran out 2-1 victors over the Lancashire outfit at Ewood Park in the Championship encounter.
Attacker Stuart Dallas opened the scoring with 16 minutes left on the clock, but Elliott Bennett equalised just nine minutes later with a sweet strike.
It looked as though Garry Monk’s outfit may have had to settle for a point, but Pontus Jansson nestled home a header to give his side a late victory.
The win brought delight to Leeds fans, including co-owner Radrizzani and the Italian hailed the support and result on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday.
“Great result and thank you for the massive support tonight,” wrote Radrizzani before using the Leeds and ‘marching on together’ hashtags.
The late victory has left Leeds in fourth place as the countdown starts for the season’s end.
There is now 17 fixtures left for the Yorkshire giants and their next encounter will provide a very stern test in the form of fifth placed Huddersfield.
The Terriers are currently five points behind Leeds, but they hold two games in hands over the Whites and Monk will know that it’s another must win clash for his team.
