Andreas Pereira drops Fulham transfer invitation to Paul Pogba
Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira sent a message on social media urging former teammate Paul Pogba to join Fulham.
Pereira featured in a 3-2 loss to West Ham, as Graham Potter secured his first win with the Hammers on 14 January.
The Brazilian international had been linked with a summer move to French side Marseille and had even stated that he was “looking forward to it” [talkSPORT].
However, it now appears he is staying at Craven Cottage and is keen for his former Manchester United teammate Pogba to join him in West London.
In response to a Sky Sports Instagram post asking fans, “Which player should your club sign in January?”, Pereira tagged Pogba and added the eyes emoji, sparking speculation.

Pereira has been at Fulham since his move from the Red Devils in 2022 and has already been the subject of transfer speculation. The Cottagers recently rejected a bid from Brazilian side Palmeiras for the midfielder [BBC Sport].
While Pereira has been active on social media amid transfer rumours in the past, his latest post could be a significant hint about Pogba’s potential return to Premier League football.
The Frenchman has previously been linked in a shock move to Man City. Discussions were reportedly explored when he became a free agent after leaving Juventus. However, his long-standing ties to boyhood club Man United have made such a move to Pep Guardiola’s side appear unlikely.

A move to join Marco Silva’s side would demonstrate the ambition Fulham are keen to project as they currently sit 10th in the Premier League, just five points away from a potential European qualification spot.
Pogba is eligible to return to action in March, following the reduction of his four-year suspension for elevated testosterone levels to 18 months.
While a deal would undoubtedly surprise many, it cannot be entirely ruled out. With Pereira dropping a social media hint, speculation about a possible transfer is gaining momentum.
