Andreas Skov Olsen has perfect motivation to succeed at Rangers as star jets in for medical
Rangers are now within touching distance of completing the signing of Andreas Skov Olsen after talks progressed on Tuesday.
The winger has fallen out of favour at Wolfsburg in recent weeks, and Danny Rohl and Co. have moved swiftly to provide him with a way out of the Bundesliga outfit in the January window.
Rangers have been in talks with Skov Olsen over the last few days, and have been increasingly keen to make him their second new addition of what could quickly become a very busy January window.
The Gers are hot on the heels of Hearts at the top of the Premiership table, and the opportunity to add proven top-level quality to their group has unsurprisingly proved too good to turn down.

Andreas Skov Olsen fighting for World Cup spot as Rangers medical imminent
Skov Olsen shares a relationship with Rangers’ recent signing Tochi Chukwuani, and it is now a matter of time before he links up with his former Nordsjaelland teammate at Ibrox.
Rangers have now agreed a loan fee with Wolfsburg that will see the wideman make the switch to Glasgow until the end of the season, according to journalist Farzam Abolhosseini via his X account.
Skov Olsen is due to land in Glasgow on Wednesday to complete his medical and sign his contract, with the deal now all but done from the Gers’ perspective.
Rohl’s side have included a purchase option as part of the deal, and they will be delighted to see that Skov Olsen will be arriving with a clear motivation and hunger to succeed.
The full report suggests that his chances of making the Denmark squad for next summer’s World Cup have been put “in danger” by the lack of football that he received at Wolfsburg, and he will be desperate to put that right.
The player himself will be abundantly aware of his situation with the national team, and that should see him do everything in his power to prove that he is worthy of a spot on the plane to North America.
Players will not want to miss out on such a prestigious tournament, and that will play perfectly into Rangers’ hands, as they are set to add a player to their squad who has a point to prove, but also limited time to do so.
Mikey Moore to feel aggrieved by Skov Olsen arrival
Mikey Moore’s performances at Rangers have drastically improved in recent weeks, and he has begun to make a name for himself at Ibrox after a disappointing start to his loan spell.
The Tottenham loanee netted the third goal in his team’s Old Firm derby success away at Celtic on 3 January, and has begun to take on an increasingly important role in Rohl’s plans of late.
With that in mind, he will surely feel a little aggrieved to see that another winger is set to join the club in Skov Olsen, as it could very feasibly put his place in the starting XI under threat.
His opposite winger Djeidi Gassama is a firm favourite of Rohl after the pair also worked together at Sheffield Wednesday, and that could see Moore become the fall guy in order to make way for Skov Olsen.
Ultimately, the Gers need the strength in depth if they are to make a strong bid for the league title, and the new arrival could also motivate Moore even further, with more competition for his place now on the cards.
