Andreas Skov Olsen is surely destined for Rangers transfer after what he’s just done on social media

Andreas Skov Olsen is doing little to hide the speculation that he could become a Rangers player before the end of the January transfer window.

The Gers have fought their way back into the Premiership title race, and are keen to target strong additions to their squad to strengthen their hand for the crucial second half of the season.

Football Insider revealed on Saturday that Rangers and Celtic are battling it out for Silas Andersen in the remainder of the window, and the Ibrox outfit have their eyes fixed firmly on another Scandinavian addition in Skov Olsen.

Danny Rohl has overseen a fantastic turnaround since taking charge of the Glasgow giants back in October, and he will surely feel that a deal for Skov Olsen is destined to get over the line after the latest indication.

Andreas Skov Olsen sends message to Tochi Chukwuani

Football Insider also revealed recently that Rangers and Celtic are pushing to sign Kieron Bowie from Hibernian, as they both bid to add to their attacking options.

Rohl and his staff clearly view the top of the pitch as a key priority this month, as an offer has already been submitted to sign Skov Olsen on loan, according to journalist Scott Burns.

However, their first addition of the winter window has come in the centre of midfield, with Tochi Chukwuani announced as a Rangers player on Sunday.

The Dane has joined from Sturm Graz for an initial fee of £4.3million, and he has already taken to Instagram to share his delight.

Chukwuani posted photos of himself signing his deal at Ibrox, accompanied by the caption: “Ready to give my all for this fantastic club, let’s get it going.”

However, the message sent by Skov Olsen in the comments section has also attracted plenty of attention, as he replied with: “Congratulations my friend,” followed by a prayer emoji and a heart emoji.

Skov Olsen message shows strong desire for Rangers move

Rangers’ recent improvement under Rohl hasn’t gone unnoticed, and Skov Olsen’s latest action on social media is surely another indication that he is keen to make the switch.

He and Chukwuani spent time together at Nordsjaelland earlier in their careers, and while it is totally normal for a player to congratulate a former teammate on a move, the timing of this is no coincidence.

Skov Olsen clearly had a desire to show his approval of the move, and he will be aware of the ongoing speculation surrounding his own future.

He could easily have sent the message in private if he didn’t want to fuel that transfer talk even further, but the fact that he has chosen to share it in public view certainly suggests that he is destined to join his friend in the coming weeks.

That should provide Rohl and Co. with all the evidence that they need to push forward towards a deal.
