Andrew Robertson sends seven word message to Scotland fans after Portugal draw

Scotland captain Andrew Robertson has urged fans to keep the faith after their 0-0 UEFA Nations League draw with Portugal on Tuesday (October 15).

Steve Clarke’s side played out a hard-fought draw against a Portugal side stacked with talent to earn their first UEFA Nations League point of the campaign.

Scotland remain dead last in Group one but still have two games against Croatia and Poland to earn qualification for the next round.

Robertson, 30, was a standout on the night, winning 100 per cent of his tackles, making seven recoveries, and winning three ground duels.

Andrew Robertson still backs Scotland

The left-back played the full 90 minutes on both of Scotland’s games during the second international break of the season, and will now return to Merseyside.

Robertson took to Instagram to urge fans to get behind the side, saying their draw with Portugal is “Something to build on” as they seek to mount a major comeback.

His attention will now turn back to the Premier League as Liverpool prepare for what could be one of their most important games of the season against Chelsea on Sunday (October 20).

It’s set to be a manic end to the month for Robertson and Liverpool as they play four games in just ten days against Chelsea, RB Leipzig, Arsenal, and Brighton.

In other news, Anthony Ralston just ‘ended’ Cristiano Ronaldo’s career.
