Andy Robertson responds to Mohamed Salah’s message after omission
Andy Robertson has outlined his desire to appear in one of Mohamed Salah’s post-match selfies after Liverpool continued their fine form with a 5-0 thrashing of West Ham.
Despite that emphatic scoreline, the left-back endured something of frustrating afternoon that left some supporters questioning his future on Merseyside.
Salah has also seen plenty of speculation about his future recently, but enjoyed a productive evening at the London Stadium on Sunday (29 December), scoring once and providing two more assists.
Taking to Instagram after the game, the Egyptian posted pictures of himself with the other players to score for Liverpool in that game, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota.
Replying to that post Robertson outlined his aims to be involved in that part of the celebrations in the future, as he wrote: “I’ll make a picture one day”.

Liverpool fans will take hope from Andy Robertson message to Mo Salah
Football Insider Opinion
This has been an absolutely outstanding individual campaign for Salah over the course of the season so far.
The winger has been a driving force for Liverpool in their quest for silverware, highlighting how important he is at Anfield amid uncertainty about his contract with the club.
It goes without saying that everyone connected with the Reds will therefore be desperate to see him extend his stay on Merseyside beyond next summer.
Fans will often cling to any glimmers of hope when it comes to those sort of situations, and so the fact Robertson seems to be looking to the future with this comment may offer some reason for optimism.
Of course, with the left-back’s own contract expiring at the end of next season that is another situation that Liverpool will likely have to address in the near future.
In an otherwise excellent period for the club, not rectifying these contract issues has been one cause for frustration, so getting as many sorted as possible to avoid it costing them must be an off-field priority.
