Andy Robertson shares three-word response to major Liverpool career event
Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has taken to social media to look back at one of the standout moments of the club’s recent history.
Having made the move to Anfield from Hull City back in the summer of 2017, the Scot has become a key figure in the recent success the Reds have enjoyed.
He has picked up several major honours with the Merseyside club, while amassing well over 300 appearances in all competitions in that time.
Now, Robertson has had the opportunity to reflect on what is likely to be one of the most memorable Liverpool games of the past few years.

Andy Robertson speaks about Barcelona comeback
Wednesday (7 May) marked six years since the Reds completed their remarkable comeback against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Having trailed 3-0 from the first leg in the Nou Camp the previous week, Liverpool claimed an incredible 4-0 win at Anfield in the second leg.
Andy Robertson Liverpool career | Total (Transfermarkt) |
Appearances | 340 |
Goals | 11 |
Assists | 66 |
Yellow Cards | 35 |
Red Cards | 2 |
That secured them a place in the final with a 4-3 victory on aggregate, and they would then go on to beat Tottenham in the final to claim the title in Europe’s top competiton for a sixth time.
With the club now taking to Instagram to mark the anniversary of that turnaround against Barcelona, Robertson – who played the first half of that match – was keen to get involved.
Sharing a post to his story, the Liverpool left-back paid tribute to his fellow players from that match, as he simply wrote: “What a team”.

Liverpool targeting more titles at home and abroad
Football Insider Verdict
For some fans, the imminent departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool may have changed the perspective of this match somewhat, given it was his quickly taken corner that led to the winner.
Even so, this was an incredible effort against one of the best teams on the planet that led to another success in claiming the biggest trophy in Europe.
Since then, the club have continued to pick up silverware, including the Premier League this season, although they are yet to win the Champions League again.
That is something they will surely be desperate to change, not least following the disappointment of their elimination to PSG this season.
With Liverpool being understood by Football Insider to be ready to pay the asking price for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, it may be interesting to see how much of a role Robertson himself plays in that.
