Andy Robertson to ‘reject Premier League offer’ in new Celtic boost
Andy Robertson is unlikely to join another Premier League club if he is allowed to leave Liverpool upon the expiry of his current contract.
Instead, he has his sights set on either a move to Europe or return to Scotland amid interest from the likes of Atletico Madrid and Celtic, who are keeping tabs on him.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Robertson feels he has achieved everything in English football and will seek a new challenge.
Football Insider revealed in October that Liverpool could look to extend Robertson’s contract, and have not ruled out keeping him, but no progress has been made yet.
Milos Kerkez is now seen as the first choice their left-back position and there is a growing expectation the Scotland international could be allowed to move on.

Andy Robertson to turn down Premier League offers
Brown told Football Insider on 20 January that Celtic are keeping tabs on Robertson in case he is allowed to leave Liverpool and could tempt him to return to Scotland.
They are not the only club interested in him, however, as multiple top European sides believe he has still got what it takes to perform at the top level.
“I could see him making the return to Scotland with Celtic,” Brown told Football Insider.
“They won’t be the only ones interested though and they’ll probably have to battle with European clubs if they want to bring him in.
“I wouldn’t expect him to stay in the Premier League, I think he will feel he’s achieved everything he can with Liverpool. Now it’s time for a new challenge.
“It happens quite often when a player has been at one club for so long, playing for another team in the same league feels strange so they look elsewhere.

“He’s more than good enough to go and play for a top European club, maybe away from the intensity of the Premier League if they feel he can’t handle that any more.
“He’s a player who would do well for Celtic and do well in Scotland, and maybe the chance to go back to his home country will appeal to him.“
Chelsea pull plug on Ibrahima Konate deal
Robertson is not the only Liverpool star who could leave upon the expiry of his contract, as Ibrahima Konate continues to edge towards a move away from Anfield.
Brown told Football Insider on 20 January that Konate is finished at Liverpool and the club have decided to let him go after contract talks stalled.
Real Madrid were strong suitors for Konate, but have since publicly pulled out of the race, while he continues to be linked with the likes of Chelsea and PSG.

However, Brown told Football Insider on 22 January that Chelsea have dropped their interest in Konate and are no longer pursuing a deal to sign him.
A number of costly mistakes and disappointing performances so far this season have seen them drop out of the running, following Real Madrid‘s decision.
