Ange Postecoglou: Big Celtic manager update after three PL clubs shortlist him – sources

Celtic are anticipating interest from Premier League clubs and teams abroad for manager Ange Postecoglou this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Leeds United have continuously shown an interest in the Australian and are monitoring his situation as they look for a permanent successor to Javi Gracia after appointing Sam Allardyce on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Postecoglou has already been shortlisted by several English top flight sides amid a number of sackings throughout the campaign.

The 57-year-old was a surprise inclusion on Chelsea’s shortlist after they sacked Graham Potter and appointed Frank Lampard until the end of the season.

But on Monday (8 May), Football Insider revealed that Mauricio Pochettino’s appointment as the new boss at Stamford Bridge will be confirmed by the end of the week.

Tottenham have also been keeping an eye on Postecoglou as they look to find their next manager following Antonio Conte’s departure in March.

The Lilywhites have already sacked interim manager Cristian Stellini who was replaced by Ryan Mason as they search for a permanent appointment.

Last week (2 May), Football Insider revealed that chairman Daniel Levy wants to make a quick mananager appointment.

Some of the names currently being considered are Julian Nagelsmann, Vincent Kompany and Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.
