Ange Postecoglou ‘not happy’ as Celtic transfer news confirmed – pundit
Alan Hutton has claimed that Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is likely not “100 per cent happy” with his squad and will look to strengthen further before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers defender suggested that Christopher Jullien’s exit could help to facilitate new signings.
On Tuesday (23 August), the Hoops confirmed the exit of Jullien, 29.
The centre-back has joined French side Montpellier on a permanent deal.
As reported by FootballScotland (23 August), the Glasgow giants are set to bank around £850,000 from the deal.
According to Spanish outlet Primicias, as relayed by Everything Celtic (23 August), Spanish side Racing Santander have contacted Ange Postecoglou’s side over a deal for Albian Ajeti.
The striker has two years remaining on his contract at Parkhead but has fallen down the pecking order.
He joined the Bhoys in 2020 for a fee of around £5million
The Switzerland international is yet to be included in a matchday squad for the Hoops this season.
On Thursday (25 August), Celtic confirmed the signing of Sead Haksabanovic from Rubin Kazan.
The forward is Ange Postecoglou’s seventh signing of the summer.
Hutton suggested Postecoglou’s business in the transfer market is not over yet.
“I think they will [bring someone in],” he told Football Insider.

“You look at Jullien going out, Ajeti possibly going out, moving some fringe players on frees up space. I don’t think any manager will be 100 per cent happy. They might say that they are but they’re always looking at different options.
“I’m sure Celtic will be looking to strengthen now if possible.“
