Ange Postecoglou to make stunning Premier League return? O’Rourke drops verdict
Ange Postecoglou would most likely prefer to return to management next summer after an embarrassing time at Nottingham Forest.
Postecoglou was sacked as Nottingham Forest boss back on 18 October and is still on the hunt for a new club.
Prior to the appointment of Wilfried Nancy, Celtic contacted Postecoglou to come back to the club after Brendan Rodgers resigned on 27 October.
Conversely, former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Leeds are interested in bringing in Postecoglou as a possible replacement for Daniel Farke, demonstrating that he is still wanted by many top clubs despite his disgraceful tenure at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest disaster signals need for Postecoglou to take a break from management
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Australian is in no rush to return to management immediately.
The former Tottenham boss had great success winning trophies both at Celtic and in north London, yet his time at the City Ground certainly left a stain on his reputation.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over the 60-year-old’s next steps, I explained: “I think obviously the Nottingham Forest fiasco probably left a bad taste in the mouth for Ange Postecoglou.

“It was a very short and unhappy time there at the club as well, so I think he might be a bit reluctant to maybe come into a job midway through the season. Whether an offer does come for him, it’s up to him to decide what he wants to do.
“But, I’d imagine he would probably prefer if to return to management to maybe take over a club in the summer when he’ll have a full pre-season and everything else to get his feet under the table and work on things.”
Daniel Farke not in the clear at Leeds despite significant victory over Chelsea
The Whites have been linked with Postecoglou since he left Forest, due to their deplorable form with pressure mounting on their manager.

Despite a monumental 3-1 victory over Chelsea on 3 December, Farke could still be sacked by Leeds as managerial candidates continue to line up.
The Australian remains in the picture with Gary O’Neil also one of the favourites as he looks to make a dramatic return to management.
The winter period is sure to be a pivotal time for the ex-Norwich City boss as he frantically scrambles to deliver good results to impress the Peacocks’ board and save his job.
