Ange Postecoglou ‘unsettled’ by new Nottingham Forest manager contender

Nottingham Forest’s latest managerial candidate is “unsettling” for current boss Ange Postecoglou, sources have told Football Insider.

Postecoglou is under huge sack pressure at Forest, despite only taking over at the City Ground last month.

The Australian is yet to guide his side to a single win in the Premier League, picking up just one point from his four games in charge.

Forest are slipping closer to the relegation zone, and their supporters have already lost patience with the former Tottenham boss.

Sean Dyche piles pressure on Ange Postecoglou

Sean Dyche is the leading candidate for the manager’s job at Nottingham Forest, if Postecoglou is dismissed.

The extend of which multiple outlets are reporting Forest’s interest in Dyche is seen as a game-changer for the incumbent.

Sources say that the whispers about the former Everton and Burnley boss is having an impact on Postecoglou.

The 60-year-old is well aware that his position is under threat, but to see Evangelos Marinakis and the rest of the hierarchy already exploring other options will dent his confidence further.

Postecoglou must deliver if given another chance

There was a belief that this current international break could be the end for Postecoglou at Nottingham Forest, with Marinakis losing his patience at the situation.

However, with the return of the Premier League on the horizon, the former Tottenham boss remains in his position for now.

Football Insider revealed on 11 October that Marinakis expects Postecoglou to start winning games and their form must turn if he wants to save his job.

Nottingham Forest face Chelsea on Saturday (18 October), in what will be a huge contest for the Australian and his future at the club.
