Ange Postecoglou’s odds slashed to seal Premier League return at English giants
Ange Postecoglou will be among the candidates at Leeds United should Daniel Farke be dismissed in the coming days.
Farke is under serious pressure at Leeds following a run of four consecutive Premier League losses, with decision-makers at Elland Road weighing up their options.
The German led the Whites to the Premier League with a title-winning Championship campaign last season, but his side have failed to settle in the top flight.
Leeds were beaten 3-2 by Manchester City on Saturday, with Phil Foden‘s stoppage-time winner cancelling out what had been a terrific fight-back from Farke‘s team.
Erling Haaland failed to score against Leeds, with the Whites’ ability to marshal the Norwegian serving as a slight silver lining.

Odds narrow on Ange Postecoglou return
Postecoglou was sacked by Nottingham Forest in October, just 39 days after the Australian had been appointed to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.
It was the second dismissal for the 60-year-old in just a few months, after he was sacked as manager of Tottenham in June despite winning the Europa League.

After a Premier League season that had seen his Tottenham side finish 17th, Postecoglou hoped to save his reputation with a positive stint at the City Ground.
But the appointment was an absolute disaster. The former Celtic boss was in charge for just eight games across all competitions, winning none of them and losing six.
Forest replaced the Australian with Sean Dyche, who has led the Tricky Trees to three consecutive wins across all competitions.
Despite his dismal time at the City Ground, the odds on Postecoglou being named Leeds boss have shortened in recent days.

Odds at 25/1 just days ago have fallen to as low as 10/1, according to one major bookmaker.
Bo Svensson and Carlos Corberan lead Leeds race
Bo Svensson is joint odds-on favourite for the Leeds job, with the Dane available having left Union Berlin in December 2024.
He is joined by Carlos Corberan, who is under some pressure at Valencia. The Spaniard was a part of Marcelo Bielsa‘s coaching staff at Elland Road before his departure in 2020.
The 42-year-old would seem a natural fit for the Leeds job, but is currently committed to his project at the La Liga club.
Svensson, on the other hand, has rejected several offers since his departure from Union Berlin, but could be swayed by a high-profile job in the Premier League.
