Angelo Ogbonna: Pundit issues ‘massive’ West Ham claim after backroom reveal
Kevin Campbell has claimed it would be “a massive boost” to West Ham if Angelo Ogbonna returns from injury before the end of the season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said the 33-year-old is “a key player” for David Moyes’s side because of his experience.
Ogbonna has been sidelined since early November after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.

According to Claret and Hugh (1 March), the centre-back is stepping up his recovery and will be back out on the grass before the end of the month.
One member of backroom staff has even suggested Ogbonna could return for the final couple of games of the season.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the news, Campbell said: “Let’s not forget West Ham are in Europe as well.
“If they can stay in the Europa League and the top four race and then get him back, that would be a massive boost.
“Ogbonna is a very experienced centre-half. Moyes will need him come the end of the season so it is great news for everyone at the club that he is back out on the grass. He is a key player for them given his experience.
“Everyone will be desperate for him to be back in the fray.”

Ogbonna has made 11 Premier League appearances this season.
He formed a formidable partnership with Kurt Zouma at the back end of October.
