Anthony Elanga shares Bruno Fernandes image after Nottingham Forest beat Man United
Anthony Elanga appears to have dropped a hint over his relationship with Bruno Fernandes after scoring the winner for Nottingham Forest against Man United.
It has been an incredible for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, who are currently sat third in the Premier League table, and are preparing for an FA Cup semi final later this month.
The winger is one player who is remaining key to that success, with Elanga running almost the entire length of the pitch to score against Man United on Tuesday (1 April) to secure a 1-0 win.
Fernandes had been in excellent form for Ruben Amorim’s side prior to the international break, but was unable to quite make the same impact here as his slipped to another Premier League defeat.

After the game, there were questions about whether Man United will regret selling Elanga, after the Sweden international’s latest excellent performance.
The Red Devils had sold the winger to Nottingham Forest back in the summer of 2023, meaning he is familiar with a number of those still on the books at Old Trafford.

One of those members of Amorim’s side it seems Elanga still remains particularly close to is Bruno Fernandes.
Taking to his Instagram story after the game, the Nottingham Forest talisman posted a series of pictures from his side’s latest win.
One of those showed him embraced in a hug with Man United captain Fernandes at full time, suggesting he does maintain a strong friendship with the Portugal international.

Man United surely regret Nottingham Forest transfer agreement
Football Insider Verdict
The decision to sell Elanga is one that will undoubtedly be haunting those at Old Trafford, and not just after his goal in this latest defeat.
Throughout the course of the campaign, the winger has made some major contributions to help propel Nottingham Forest into contention for the Champions League places.
By contrast, Man United have badly lacked an attacking spark throughout the season, which feels like a key reason for why they are now languishing in the bottom half of the table.
As a result, many connected with the Red Devils will surely be wondering ‘what if’ over their decision to sell the winger when they did.
