Anthony Gordon: Pundit fears Everton winger being ‘targeted’ by opponents after reveal
Paul Robinson has hailed Everton winger Anthony Gordon “top-class” despite Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League goalkeeper has been “really impressed” by the 21-year-old’s performances in a struggling Frank Lampard side.
Gordon was a rare spark in an otherwise dismal display from the Toffees at Goodison Park.

In his last two games, Gordon has been fouled six times – more than any other Everton player.
Robinson believes opposition managers are targeting the England under-21 international.
“I’m a big fan of his,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s a top-class player and he’s really stepped up his game this season. I have been really impressed with him.
“What makes it even more impressive is that he is playing well in a team that is playing so poorly. He has been their standout player.
“It’s very hard for a young player to play well in a team that is struggling and fighting for relegation but Gordon is doing just that. It shows you what a quality player he is. He’s got great character.
“You can also see teams recognising that he’s the danger man. They’re targeting him.”

Gordon has contributed three goals and three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
His contract runs until the summer of 2025.
