Anthony Gordon: Pundit issues ‘massive’ claim over Everton starlet
Alex McLeish has hailed the impact Everton starlet Anthony Gordon has had on the rest of the squad.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider’s Russell Edge, the former Scotland manager claimed the 20-year-old’s “massive enthusiasm” has made a significant “difference” at Goodison Park.
Gordon has been a standout performer in recent weeks, scoring and assisting in the 3-0 win over Leeds United.

Notably, the young winger has started every game since Frank Lampard took charge.
McLeish admitted Gordon has been a “bright light for fans” after a disappointing first half of the season.
He suggested the youngster’s emergence will have had a significant impact on his teammates as well.
“Anthony Gordon has been a really bright light for Everton fans and the club,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“Especially when you get a kid coming from the academy, everybody takes great pride in that.
“Like a lot of young players, when they arrive on the scene they play with gay abandon. Harry Redknapp frequently said: ‘Go and show yourself. Splash your personality all over that pitch.’
“You can see that Gordon’s a young guy who is playing a game that he absolutely loves. He’s probably taken it from the academy club level right through to the first team.
“That massive enthusiasm he has, running power and a wee trick or two make the difference.”
Gordon has made 22 appearances across all competitions this season, 19 in the Premier League.
He has played a total of 42 times for the Toffees since breaking through the youth ranks.
