Antonin Kinsky howler as Yves Bissouma awful – Tottenham ratings vs Liverpool
Tottenham were blown away by Liverpool 4-0 as Spurs were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the semi-finals.
In classic fashion this season, the first talking point in the match was a delay in the game, as Spurs medical staff took care of an injury to Ben Davies in the 13th minute.
Kinsky was picking the ball out of his net on in the 26th minute as Dominik Szoboszlai finished neatly, but the effort was ruled out.
Tottenham were not so lucky in the 34th minute, as Mohamed Salah hit a cross with the outside of his foot, that just missed the outstretched foot of Darwin Nunez, but found its way through to Cody Gakpo, who smashed his effort past Kinsky.
An acrobatic save from Kinsky kept Spurs in the game, as a vital fingertip pushed a Salah effort onto the bar in the 44th minute.
Following an injury to Richarlison, Mathys Tel was brought on to make his debut in a Tottenham shirt in the 45th minute.
Kinsky would turn from hero to culprit after giving away a penalty for a foul on Darwin Nunez, which Salah converted
Szoboszlai made it three as Liverpool sliced through Spurs, and the Hungarian finished coolly after a Connor Bradley pass.
Virgil van Dijk finished the scoring, connecting to an Alexis Mac Allister corner with an unstoppable header.

Here’s how Football Insider rated the performance of the Spurs squad against Liverpool on Thursday (6 February).
Antonin Kinsky – 3
Despite some good early saves, the Czech Republic international struggled as the game went on and gave away a penalty.
Archie Gray – 5
Gray left Tottenham fans wowed with his performances against Newcastle in January, however, the same couldn’t be said against Liverpool.
Kevin Danso – 4
Danso chose Tottenham over Wolves in the January window, struggled to deal with Liverpool’s incisive attacks
Ben Davies (off for Moore ’82) – 4
Suffered a gash to the head and looked uncomfortable at centre-back next to Danso.

Djed Spence – 5
Had the unenviable task of trying to keep Salah quiet and failed to do so, was beaten by the Egyptian too often and offered little going forward
Rodrigo Bentancur – 4
Allowed Szoboszlai to glide past him for Liverpool’s third and was unable to get anything going offensively.
Yves Bissouma (off for Porro ’57) – 4
A nightmare game for Bissouma and he was subbed off in the 57th minute.
Tottenham midfield overrun but Pape Matar Sarr shows quality
Pape Sarr (off for Bergvall ’57) – 6
The best of a bad bunch in Spurs’ midfield, showed quality on the ball but it was not enough to propel his team forward.
Dejan Kulusevski – 5
Tottenham were willing to accept a huge fee for Kulusevski, and the Swedish international only showed glimpses of the threat he usually offers.
Richarlison (off for Tel ’45) – 4
Richarlison looked set to leave Tottenham in January, and the Brazilian was fairly anonymous before being forced off with an injury on the stroke of half-time.
Heung-Min Son – 5
The legendary South Korean struggled with limited supply from his midfield, drifted out of the game after a hefty challenge from Bradley in the first-half.
