Antonio Colak facing axe from Rangers XI after what expert has seen

Alan Hutton has tipped Alfredo Morelos to start for Rangers against Napoli ahead of Antonio Colak.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender said the Champions League match will be the “most difficult” game the Light Blues will play this season.

Morelos, 26, was on the bench for the Bears for the 1-1 draw with Livingston on Saturday (22 October) and was subbed on for the final 25 minutes.

The Colombia international was on the bench for the Ibrox club’s previous Champions League game against Liverpool.

But Hutton suggested the game against Napoli would be a good opportunity for Morelos to come back in to the starting XI.

He [Giovanni van Bronckhorst] has done it before in the Champions League fixtures,” he told Football Insider.

I think he is a different type of striker from Colak. He messes up defenders, he runs in behind, he is not just a poacher in the box like I believe Colak is. So it wouldn’t surprise me if that is what he chose to do.

Napoli is going to be one of the most difficult games that Rangers are going to come up against this season. They are totally in form.

Defensively he is going to have to be solid first and foremost. Then try and hit them on the break with the likes of Morelos. It would not surprise me if he did go for that option.

Rangers

Rangers are currently bottom of Champions League Group A and are yet to score a point in the competition.

They face Napoli and Ajax in their final two games of the group stages but are already out of the competition.

In other news, a pundit has backed Leon King to agree Rangers exit deal after Ibrox source’s update.
