Antonio Conte ‘annoyed’ by Tottenham chiefs after ‘big’ transfer development – pundit
The Tottenham recruitment team are risking “annoying” Antonio Conte due to their lack of progress in the transfer window.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Spurs’ January plans.
Tottenham are yet to sign a senior player this month with two weeks gone in the January transfer window.

The club have been linked to several players with Fabrizio Romano reporting on 6 January that Sporting Lisbon star Pedro Porro is top of Spurs’ wishlist with the player “keen on the move”.
McManus claims Conte will be annoyed with the lack of progress made so far this month.
“I thought Tottenham would go early, to be honest,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“They are crying out for some new defenders and maybe a creative player as well. We’re nearly halfway through the window and there hasn’t been a peep.
“No real strong rumours, no knockbacks even. I thought one or two players would be in by now and because that hasn’t happened, you have to wonder what the plan is.
“We have all known for months that Tottenham need to strengthen certain positions. That means people at the club know that too.
“Conte wants to be backed as well. But so far we haven’t seen anything and that’s a big problem, for me. You thought they might have had at least one deal ready to go but that hasn’t happened.

“I imagine Conte is finding it annoying now. He needs and wants players and the club haven’t provided.
“I wouldn’t want to be in the same room as him if no one arrives, put it that way.”
