Antonio Conte ‘shooting from the hip’ as Tottenham ‘rollercoaster’ takes new twist – pundit
Tottenham fans should fasten their seatbelts as “it’s going to be a rollercoaster” under Antonio Conte for the remainder of the season, according to Paul Robinson.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the 52-year-old is a “reactive manager” who “shoots from the hip.”
Conte caused a stir when he suggested he wasn’t the right man for Spurs in the aftermath of their 1-0 defeat at Burnley last Wednesday.

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano (1 March), the Italian manager revealed “there is strategy” behind his comments.
He added that Turf Moor was the right time to send out “a clear message” to himself, the club and his squad.
When asked for his thoughts on Conte’s comments, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “Conte is a very reactive manager.
“He wears his heart on his sleeve. He takes defeat personally.
“In midweek, he took responsibility for the defeat along with his players. He made the point that any other manager would be in line for the sack if they had lost four out of five games.

“It is and is going to be a rollercoaster with Antonio Conte because he is a very passionate manager. At times, he shoots from the hip.
“I think he believes in what he is saying. He is under no illusions as to how much work there is to be done at Tottenham.”
In other news, an insider has claimed this is what Daniel Levy and Tottenham chiefs really think about Antonio Conte’s ‘outbursts’.
