Antonio Rudiger has ‘opportunity’ to join Tottenham amid ‘big’ claim – expert
Alan Hutton has claimed it will be “very difficult” for Tottenham to lure Antonio Rudiger away from Real Madrid.
But, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs right-back said Rudiger could be drawn back to “the biggest league in the world”.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes (18 February), the Lilywhites are looking to sign the 29-year-old in the summer, just a year after his move to the Bernabeu.
The Germany international’s current deal with the Spanish giants runs until 2026 but is said to be struggling to settle in since his summer transfer.
Conte signed the defender for Chelsea back in 2017 and is keen to work with him again and bolster his side’s defence in the process.
When asked if Rudiger could be drawn back to the English top flight, Hutton told Football Insider.
“I don’t see why not,” he told Football Insider.
“It is arguably the biggest league in the world.
“I understand why he left Chelsea, to go to another fantastic football club. But at the end of the day if you are not playing and another big team comes in for you then there is an opportunity there for you.

“I do not think you would ever shut that down. But, leaving a team like Real Madrid it must be very difficult. An iconic football club so it would be hard.
“But would he fancy going to Tottenham after already being at Chelsea? It would be a difficult one for him.“
