Archie Gray surely furious with Thomas Frank after latest Tottenham transfer decision
Archie Gray has endured a rather frustrating start to life as a Tottenham player after his big-money move from Leeds United.
Gray was serenaded by the Elland Road crowd when Spurs travelled to West Yorkshire before the international break, and the 19-year-old was on the right side of a 2-1 win.
Ange Postecoglou was sacked by Daniel Levy during the summer, but even though the Australian struggled for form, injuries meant that he was forced to depend on the young midfielder.
However, due to most of those injuries coming in defence, Gray was often used out of position, either at centre-back or full-back, and still only made 19 Premier League starts in 2024-25.

Archie Gray continues to struggle under Thomas Frank
Since the 2025-26 campaign kicked off, excluding the Super Sup final against PSG, Gray has been given just 170 minutes of first-team football across all competitions.
James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski remain sidelined, but even so, the middle of the park is dominated by Joao Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Sarr, and fellow youngster Lucas Bergvall.
There is no doubt that Gray’s natural position is in the centre of midfield. But with so many options, he is one of the few players rarely given a chance to prove himself, and that might be about to get worse.

Not only are Spurs considering making Palhinha’s loan permanent next summer, but Frank is clearly already looking ahead to the next transfer window.
Tottenham want to sign Nico Raskin from Rangers
Tottenham, once again, are interested in Nico Raskin of Rangers, a player who has been attracting plenty of attention around Europe due to his performances at Ibrox and on the international stage.
Frustratingly for Gray, he plays in the exact position that the former Leeds man is trying to forge his career in, which would only hand him yet another setback in North London.
There have been whispers of Gray potentially leaving on loan to gain valuable minutes on the pitch, especially in the position that he wants to play, but that would be a big disappointment for Spurs’ £40million signing.
Raskin would, undoubtedly, make a splash in the Premier League, but it will only come as another challenge for those struggling to make it in the first team right now.
