Darwin Nunez reacts to Luis Suarez message amid Liverpool exit news
Darwin Nunez has reacted to a message from former Liverpool star Luis Suarez amid the news that he is set for an Anfield exit.
The 26-year-old fell out of favour under Arne Slot last term and subsequently made just eight Premier League starts for the title-winning Reds.
Meanwhile, Slot’s men are further bolstering their attacking ranks this summer, while football finance expert Dan Plumley exclusively told Football Insider that Liverpool can afford to sign Alexander Isak.
After scoring 27 goals across all competitions for Newcastle United last term, the striker would likely prove even more clinical for the Anfield giants.

Nunez reacts as Suarez shares emotional Club World Cup message
Following his lack of game time last term, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Liverpool plan to sell Nunez amid interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Meanwhile, after Inter Miami were knocked out of the Club World Cup by PSG on Sunday, 29 June, fellow Uruguayan Suarez took to Instagram as he wrote: “A beautiful tournament ends that we fought as far as we could with our weapons.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us for the support.”
The message attracted a like from Nunez.
Hugo Ekitike could flourish for Liverpool after Nunez exit
Football Insider verdict
Liverpool’s willingness to sell Nunez is largely thanks to their appetite to strengthen their attack ahead of vying to retain their Premier League title.

The Reds’ best-case scenario is that they offload the Uruguay international and sign Isak, who has proven his prolific instincts in the English top-flight.
But if Slot’s side fail to land a deal for Isak, Hugo Ekitike could prove to be a solid alternative to the Magpies hotshot.
After the France Under-21 international notched 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions for Frankfurt last term, Liverpool have entered the race for Ekitike.
Having previously moved from French Ligue 1 to the Bundesliga in 2024, the 22-year-old should encounter no problems adjusting to the demands of the Premier League.
Furthermore, by scoring for Frankfurt against Tottenham in the Europa League quarter-finals, Ekitike showed his ability to perform against English opposition.
Meanwhile, Owen Beck has been tipped to make an Anfield exit in a Liverpool News 247 exclusive.
