Arne Slot slammed for ‘baffling decision’ as one player told he ‘is not Liverpool standard’
Arne Slot made an error in his starting XI, as one player continued their poor start to the season at Anfield.
Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat at Chelsea before the international break meant Slot’s side returned to Anfield off the back of three successive defeats.
Arsenal’s 1-0 win at Fulham a day earlier left Liverpool four points off the top of the table going into the clash.
Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire netted goals as Man United won at Anfield for the first time since 2016 despite Cody Gakpo’s second half equaliser.

Milos Kerkez slammed for Liverpool performance vs Man United
Milos Kerkez joined Liverpool from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window and has suffered from a tough start to life at Merseyside.
Andy Robertson has come in for Kerkez on a couple of occasions, but Slot decided to keep faith in the 21-year-old against Man United.
One fan questioned the decision posting on social media: “Why is Slot always starting Kerkez His crossings, his positioning are all bad!!!“
“Sorry but I don’t think Kerkez is Liverpool quality. Bradley is suspect too. I think the drop off in our Full Backs is one big reason for our indifferent start to the season,” one fan believes.
“Kerkez would you quit wasting possession,” a fan said on his performance.
A supporter gave Slot a tactical suggestion: “I’m not sure you’re getting a whole lot from Kerkez right now. I would actually bring in Robertson and play Gakpo further central.”
A Liverpool fan wanted Kerkez substituted at half-time: “Take Kerkez off at half time. What a waste signing he’s been so far.”
“Kerkez brother please stop playing the same floating ball into the box from that inside channel,” a fan told the left-back.

Kerkez continues to struggle at Liverpool
Slot will have a decision to make on Kerkez’s future in the starting XI, with the experienced Robertson on the bench.
Robertson has proved such a reliable player throughout Liverpool’s success over the past decade and Slot needs his characteristics in his defence right now.
Whilst Liverpool have exceptional fire power, the Reds have conceded 11 goals in eight games, compared to title rivals Arsenal who have only conceded three in the same period.
Keeping clean sheets ultimately helps teams win matches, which Liverpool have only achieved twice this season.
