‘Arne Slot to be sacked tomorrow’ – Liverpool fans explode over latest

Liverpool fans are waiting for confirmation of Arne Slot’s departure, with the Dutchman under big pressure.

Despite having the lead on two occasions, Liverpool drew 3-3 with Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday.

The Reds were looking for just their second win from the last six games, but could not capitalise on Hugo Ekitike‘s second-half brace.

After the game, Salah said that he no longer has a relationship with Slot in an explosive interview that has plunged both men’s futures into doubt.

Slot is the bookies’ favourite for the next Premier League manager to be sacked, with decision-makers at Anfield facing significant calls to relieve the Premier League winner of his duties.

Liverpool fans demand Arne Slot sacking

Slot was among the most popular people in Liverpool just five months ago, such has the situation changed so rapidly at Anfield.

The Reds started the season terrifically, winning their opening seven games across all competitions, but a narrow loss to Crystal Palace in September has had catastrophic consequences.

Of the 14 games since, Liverpool have won just four, and fans have well and truly had enough.

Following yesterday’s game, many called on the club to sack Slot immediately, hoping to wake up on Sunday to the news that the manager had been shown the door.

One fan weighed in on the evolving dispute with Salah, writing that “Slot should thank Salah for winning him the league last season.

Football Insider revealed on Friday that Liverpool are considering appointing Steven Gerrard as an interim manager, and a Red supported this idea, claiming that Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann should be hired after next year’s World Cup.

FSG risk attracting frustration as Slot situation worsens

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) had huge favour in the summer, after backing Slot with huge amounts of money.

Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez were among several big-money arrivals, with the Reds breaking records with how much they spent.

While the early failure of those signings is not the fault of FSG, frustration is building against John Henry and the decision-makers at Anfield.

The longer Slot remains in charge, the more that anger will build – and just when FSG appeared to have won the support of the fans.
