Arsenal branded ‘frightening’ after ‘ridiculous’ development – ‘how can you do that?’

Paddy Kenny has been left baffled by Arsenal after they beat Chelsea 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gunners’ form.

Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-2 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday (20 April), keeping their top-four hopes alive.

This result came on the back of a three-game losing streak in games against Crystal Palace, Brighton and Southampton.

Kenny can’t believe the inconsistency at Arsenal.

“It’s frightening,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“All credit to Arsenal for bouncing bad after that horrendous run but that shows the problems, doesn’t it?

“Arsenal are a good team, they have been good all season and they have got some good results against good teams.

“What a win that was last night. But this is the problem with Arsenal.

“How do you lose those three games in a row then go and beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge? It’s ridiculous, how can you do that?

“I don’t get it. That’s something they need to sort out because if they had won those three games they would be miles clear in fourth spot, you would be looking at finishing third.

“They need to fix it, I can’t get my head around it.”

The Gunners are next in action against Man United on Saturday (23 April).

They are now level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham ahead of the final five games of the Premier League season.
